Obituary

Nessima Hakim, widow of late Justice Maksum ul Hakim, died on Sunday. She was 80, says a press release.

Nessima, daughter of former chief justice of Dhaka High Court of the then East Pakistan Amin Ahmed, was buried in Banani graveyard on Monday.

She is survived by three daughters, a son -- Justice Tariq ul Hakim, a sitting judge of the Supreme Court -- and grandchildren.

A doa mahfil will be held at Circuit House Jame Masjid on Thursday.

Friends and relatives are requested to attend the programme and pray for her departed soul.
