PM opens IEB convention today

The 56th convention of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) will begin today in the capital with the theme "Engineers for Sustainable Development."

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will open the four-day convention at 10:30am," Honorary IEB General Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur told a press conference yesterday.

The IEB general secretary said nearly six thousand engineers from across the country have so far registered to join the convention.

About 100 foreign delegates from China, India, Pakistan, the USA, the UK, and the UAE will attend it, he added.
