Railways Minster Mujibul Haque was admitted to a hospital in the capital as he fell sick while replying to lawmakers' queries in parliament yesterday evening.

While reading out a scripted answer before the House, his nose began bleeding, and he requested Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury to table the rest of the answer, said the parliament sources.

The minister was quickly taken to the parliament lobby, and later he was rushed to Square Hospital, said Shariful Alam, public relations officer of the minister.

"His physical condition is now stable," Shariful added.
