Restricted cloth, threads seized

Customs Intelligence officials seized cloths and threads, imported under bond facilities, worth around Tk 6 crore in Terribazar area of Chittagong city yesterday.

On information that the cloths were being taken from Chittagong EPZ to an open market for selling, a team of Customs Intelligence raided six godowns of Rajmony Transport Agency and seized the goods, said the officials.

The team also found a covered-van parked outside for carrying the goods to the market.

The staff of the godowns could not show any documents regarding the cloths, the officials added.
