Sheela Saha passes away

Sheela Saha, wife of Biresh Chandra Saha, former president of Dhaka Mahanagar Puja Committee, died while undergoing treatment at a private clinic in the capital's Dhanmondi on Saturday.

She was 60, according to a press release.

Sheela, mother of journalist Jhumur Saha, was suffering from cancer since 2016, the press release added.

Sheela left behind her husband, a daughter and son.

She was cremated at Lalbagh Shawan on Saturday night.
