'Shibir activist' arrested in Ctg

Police arrested an alleged Shibir activist in Madhyam Kanchana village under Satkania upazila of Chittagong yesterday.

The arrestee -- Md Selim, 28, of Modhyam Kanchana -- is accused in two cases filed over subversive activities, said Officer-in-Charge of Satkania Police Station Farid Uddin.

On information, police conducted a drive in the village and arrested Selim from his house, said the OC adding, Selim had been absconding for over a year.
