Strike continues at CU for 2nd day

Teachers of Chittagong University (CU) continued their strike for the second consecutive day yesterday demanding removal of discriminatory provisions from the eighth pay scale.

 "No classes were held during the strike", said Kazi SM Khasrul Alam Quddusi, general secretary of Chittagong University Teachers Association (Cuta), adding that only pre-scheduled examinations and inevitable administrative activities were to remain out of purview from the strike till January 9.
