Sust teachers want fair investigation

Terming the death of Sylhet Gonojagoron Mancha activist Shahriar Majumdar "mysterious", teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology yesterday demanded fair probe into the incident.

Teachers under the banner of Mohan Muktijuddher Chetonay Udbuddho Shikkhok Parishad, who have been agitating for the removal of vice-chancellor, withdrew their programme for today and will bring out a mourning procession around 12:00pm.

Meanwhile, at a rally arranged by Sust Sangskritik Jote, VC Prof Aminul Haque Bhuiyan also demanded a fair probe.

Also a final year architecture student at Sust, Shahriar was found hanging at a student mess on Thursday night.
