CLARIFICATION

It has come to our attention that an issue has been raised regarding a music review titled “Rockstrata Returns”, published in the February 20th issue of SHOUT, with Arafat Kazi alleging it of being “plagiarised”. It turns out that Kazi himself wrote a review of the album, and intended it for publishing in The Daily Star, but it did not reach SHOUT or any other section of the newspaper. While the review -- by Fahmim Ferdous -- published had a number of observations that resonate that of Kazi's, SHOUT has not found enough evidence of plagiarism in it. Meanwhile, the inadvertent misunderstanding has been resolved through communication between Kazi and the writer of the review.
