40 get khas land

Forty ultra poor people got documents of government khas land from Kishoreganj upazila administration yesterday. As per rules, landless, homeless, river erosion victims and widows will get free allotment of the land from the government, said upazila administration sources. Local lawmaker Shawkat Chowdhury handed over the land documents to the 40 landless people. Each allotee got 11 decimals of land, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Siddiqur Rahman.
