Abducted farmer traceless for 3 days

A farmer, who was abducted from Jhenidah court area on Sunday, still remains traceless.

The victim, Nazir Biswas, 55, hails from Narankandi village under Harinakundo upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ershadul Kabir of Harinakundo Police Station, said Nazir went to Jhenidah court on July 12 to file a case and remained missing since then.

On the night of July 13, the abductors phoned Nazir's family members, demanding Tk 5.50 lakh as ransom for his release.

Family members filed a general diary (GD) with Harinakundo Police Station the same day.
