Body recovered

Police recovered the body of a 'missing' schoolboy from a canal in Jorakhalia area under Kathalia upazila of the district on Monday. The dead is Mehedi Hasan, 8, son of Shahin Jamadder of the area, and a student of Class III of Jorkhali Government Primary School. He went missing on Friday. Criminals might have killed the boy as the body bore several injury marks, Md Jahid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kathalia Police Station said, adding that they arrested two people in this connection. A murder case was filed.
