Hundi trader held with Tk 7 lakh

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a hundi trader from Bottala area under Benapole Port Police Station yesterday and seized Tk 7 lakh from his possession, said Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer of Rab 26-Battalion.  The arrestee was identified as Abdus Salam, 35, son of Abdul Khalek of Khalsi village in Putkhali upazila.

The BGB official said, tipped off, a team of border guards raided the area and arrested Salam, who was coming from India on a motorbike.
