Man killed over land dispute

A youth was murdered allegedly by one of his cousins over a land dispute at Raita village in Kalaroa upazila on Tuesday. The deceased, Enamul Haque, 22, son of Yunus Ali, was a resident of the village. Quoting witnesses, Officer-in-Charge Masud Karim of Kalaroa Police Station, said there had been a feud between Enamul and his uncle Abdul Alim, over the ownership of a piece of land. Following an altercation over the issue on Tuesday noon, Alim's son Bablu hit Enamul with a stick, leaving him critically injured. Enamul later died on way to a local hospital.
