One killed in nor'wester, 3 injured

An elderly man was killed and three others were injured as a nor'wester swept through different villages in Rajnagar upazila of the district yesterday.

A tree fell on during a storm around 3:00pm, leaving Monfar Ali, 75, of Sunatiki village dead and three others injured, witnesses said.

The injured were rushed to Rajnagar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared Monfar dead.

Injured Kader Ali, 45, Taslim, 34, and Quaiyum, 42, of the village, is undergoing treatment at the health complex, said Md Shamsuddoha, officer in-charge of Rajnagar Police station.
