PSTU master roll staff demand job regularisation

The master roll employees of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) continued their strike, demanding regularisation of their jobs.

They went on an indefinite strike on December 3 to realise the demand, said Badruzzaman Jony, a staff of computer science and technology department.

To realise the demand, the employees yesterday staged a sit-in in front of the vice chancellor's office and confined all officials including the VC as off filing of this report around 6:00pm yesterday.

A team on behalf of VC rushed to the spot around 12 noon and tried to solve the problem but in vain.

Earlier on Monday, the master roll employees at a rally on the campus said they have been working at different sections on master roll basis for years with poor salary.

Later, a team led by Students Affairs' Advisor of PSTU Dr Md Robiul Haque met the agitating staff and assured them that he would try to solve the problem.
