Three drug peddlers held in Panchagarh

Detectives arrested three drug peddlers with 1.5 kg of hemp at Amershwary village in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh district on Friday. 

The arrestees are Rezaul Haque, 30, son of Mozammel Haque, Rajendranath Mohan, 40, son of Beni Mohan of Pamuli Shantirhaat village in the upazila; and Julfikar, 25, son of Shibrampur Gonopoita village in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch of Police intercepted the drug traders at the village on Boda-Debiganj Road while they were going to Debganj in a three wheeler at around 3:00pm. The law enforcers seized 1.5 kg of hemp from their possession.
