Bassbaba Sumon’s new single, ‘Boyosh Holo Amar’ releases today
Renowned bassist and frontman of rock band Aurthohin Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon— known better among his fans by his stage name Bassbaba Sumon — is set to release his new single, "Boyosh Holo Amar", in collaboration with fingerstyle guitarist Mahaan Fahim, today.
The track is composed, written, and co-produced by Bassbaba Sumon himself.
"This song has no bass solo, surprising lead, or caricature of drums. It relies on Mahaan's beautiful acoustic guitar playing, and my lyrics," he shared on a post in his Facebook profile. "It is a song about me slowly getting older, being bedridden for the last two years, and drowning in darkness. It is a song about me screaming in agony night after night. Lastly, it is a song about me overcoming all obstacles to return to the light."
Bassbaba Sumon has recently battled a severe spinal injury, after spending the better part of three years in tremendous pain while in recovery.
He will be releasing a number of songs from his solo project in the next couple of months. After that, he plans to release Aurthohin's comeback track in December.
