Actor Nayeem shifted to cabin from ICU

Popular film actor of the 90s, Nayeem recently went through a bypass surgery on November 6 at a private hospital in the capital.

As the actor recovers, he was shifted to the cabin from the intensive care unit today. His wife, renowned film actress Shabnaz, confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

"Nayeem's health is improving by the grace of the Almighty," she said. She also asked for prayers for his good health, to their well wishers.

The Shabnaz-Nayeem duo was popularized by eminent director Ehtesham's film "Chandni".

They appeared in many films, and the pair was one of the most popular ones in Dhallywood cinema. Both Shabnaz and Nayeem have been away from on screen appearances for many years.
