Channel i at 23: Special programmes to watch

Channel i, the first digital television channel of the country, celebrates its 23rd birthday today. On the ocassion, a special supplement on the channel will be published in top daily newspapers, with best wishes from President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud. 

It also has messages from Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director, Channel i, and Shykh Seraj, Founder Director and Head of News, Channel i. Poet Nurul Huda, Director General, Bangla Academy, has written a special article for the supplement. 

In the early hours of today, members of the Channel i family cut a cake at their studio, in the presence of celebrities and media personalities. 

Moreover, a special programme, "Shadhinotar 50 a Channel i 23" is being broadcast live from the Channel i studio from 11:05 am onwards. The programme is directed by Amirul Islam and Shahidul Alam Sachchu.  

The special telefilm "Jalranger Manush", starring Emon and Zakia Bari Mamo among others, will be aired on Channel i at 3:05 pm today. The telefilm is directed by Subrata Chakraborty. 

A special episode of "Adventure Around the World", directed by Mukit Majumdar Babu, will be aired at 6:25 pm. The show is about nature and life. 

Prominent director Vicky Zahed's "Punorjonmo 2", starring Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury, will be aired at 8 pm. 

Besides, "Matir Nayok", a special episode of "Hridoye Mati O Manush", directed and anchored by Shykh Seraj, will be aired on October 2, at 9:50 pm. 

On October 3, a special programme produced by Channel i's news department, "Coronakale Sangbad Jibon" will be aired at 10 pm. It is directed by Shakila Jasmine. 

"Unnayan Shohojogi Channel i", a documentary on Channel i's role in the different development projects of the Government of Bangladesh, will be aired on October 4 at 10 pm. It is directed by Taher Shipon.
