Country’s first animated film ‘Mujib Amar Pita’ to release on October 1
Bangladesh's first animated film "Mujib Amar Pita" was announced amidst much enthusiasm. Based on the book, "Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita", dedicated to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and authored by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the full-fledged 2D film is directed by Sohel Mohammad Rana.
Produced by Prolancer Studio, the largest 2D animation studio in Bangladesh, the film got clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board on September 16. It is now set to hit theatres countrywide on October 1. The film is also funded by the ICT Division of the Information Ministry.
Commemorating the birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on September 28, a special premiere screening of "Mujib Amar Pita" will be held at Star Cineplex, Bashundhara City.
Information Minister Hasan Mahmud, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, along with Member of Bangabandhu's birth centenary celebration committee Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury among others, will be attending the show.
It took two years to complete the film's production. Over a hundred crew members are associated with "Mujib Amar Pita".
