‘Dhaka Dream’ to release on October 22
Director Prasoon Rahman's much-awaited film "Dhaka Dream" will release in theatres across the country on October 22.
The movie revolves around the people who come to Dhaka in hopes of enjoying a better life and livelihood. Some manage to fulfill their dream, while others see their dreams and aspirations fall apart in the hustle and bustle of city life.
The movie stars Fazlur Rahman Babu, Monira Mithu, Shahadat Hossain, Sujat Shimul, Abdullah Rana, late actor SM Mohsin and others in pivotal roles.
Fazlur Rahman Babu told The Daily Star all about his character in the film.
"My character in "Dhaka Dream" is not at all conventional. He is a bit different from others. It feels great to know that the movie will finally be released this month," added the actor.
Kumar Biswajit has lent his voice for the opening song and has also composed the music of two other songs in this film. One of the songs has been voiced by the late Bari Siddiqui, while the other has been sung by Momotaz.
"Dhaka Dream" got the censor board clearance certificate in February this year. Recently, the trailer of the movie was released online.
The movie is dedicated to renowned folk singer and flutist Bari Siddiqui.
