Jamie Foxx out of immediate danger but remains hospitalised
Last month, Hollywood star Jamie Foxx was admitted to the hospital after suffering from an undisclosed medical emergency. Now, it is being reported that the actor is doing better after a month-long stay in a Georgia hospital. While details about his condition are yet to be revealed, an insider close to the 55-year-old actor has now confirmed to People magazine that the situation was initially "life-threatening", however Foxx is now "stable" and out of any immediate danger.
Corinne Foxx, the star's daughter, initially broke the news of her father's hospitalisation on Instagram. Since then, Foxx has remained in the hospital, with his team of medical professionals continuing to run tests to ensure that he is in a stable condition when they release him.
Despite the ongoing medical situation, Foxx is reportedly itching to get back to work, as he has multiple projects in the pipeline. The source who spoke with People Magazine had said that the actor is "focused and astute", but that his medical condition is serious enough to keep him hospitalised.
At the time of the incident, Foxx was in Atlanta filming his upcoming Netflix film, "Back in Action", when he was admitted to the hospital. While reports about Foxx's health have varied, his friend and co-star, Natasha Blasick told Entertainment Tonight on May 4 that she had been texting him and that he was recovering.
