Nipun to work voluntarily in “Monolok”

Popular film actress Nipun and eminent actor Fazlur Rahman Babu will share the screen in a new film, "Monolok". The production is a psychological political drama to be directed by Shahid Rayhan.

The film also stars television actress Deepa Khandakar and theatre artiste Jayita Mahalanobish, along with actors Samu Chowdhury, M A Bari, A K Azad Setu, Niaz Tarek, Masud Mohiuddin, Ashraful Ashish, and Aryan, among others. The cast sportingly came forward to take up the challenge, charging BDT 1 for the production.

The film was announced today at a Mohurat held at Lamda Hall, Gulshan Club. Prominent cultural personality and former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, attended the programme as chief guest. Renowned television director Salahuddin Lavlu was also present at the event, among others.

According to a press note, the narrative of the film portrays how we have forsaken the conscience of our Liberation War due to political inferences. The plot promotes a thought-provoking idea that will instigate the audience to think about such issues.

The screenplay is also handled by the director. "Monolok" is produced by CEO, ATN Bangla, UK, Hafiz Alam Bakhsh.
