Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's film "No Land's Man" has been premiered today at the Busan International Film Festival.

"For me, it's a completely new experience", wrote the director on Facebook. "So, I don't have any idea how to deal with it. For the first time in my filmmaking journey, my film is being premiered and I am not physically present due to Korea's strange quarantine protocol for Bangladesh and few other countries."

The film was also nominated for the Kim Jiseok award. "Kim Jiseok was the man who played an important role in my journey as a filmmaker. Like he did for many Asian filmmakers," writes the director.

He has also mentioned that after 11 years of the inception and making process of the film "No Land's Man", getting nominated for it, is extremely overwhelming.

The film is a production by the US company Dialectic and Bangladesh's Chabial, in association with India's Magic If Films, Bangladesh's Sun Music & Motion Pictures, and Bongo BD. Shrihari Sathe, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Anjan Chowdhury, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, A R Rahman, and Faridur Reza Sagar are the co-producers.

"No Land's Man" is predominantly English, with some dialogue in Hindi and Urdu. It stars prolific Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, along with celebrated Bangladeshi musician and actor Tahsan Khan, and promising Australian actor Megan Mitchell, among others.

"No Land's Man" was the recipient of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and Asia Pacific Screen Awards' Script Development fund in 2014. It was part of the Asian Project Market at Busan, and was the Best Project at India's Film Bazaar that year.

It has been shot across New York, India, and Australia.
