‘Poddapuran’ hits theatres tomorrow

The Rashid Polash directorial "Poddapuran" will be released at eight movie halls across the country, including Star Cineplex and Blockbuster Cinemas. The Punya Films production is Rashid Polash's first feature film.

"I have been going through a strange nervousness for the last few days. We started shooting this film in 2016, and we wrapped it up only last year. It is finally releasing tomorrow. I believe things in the industry will take a positive turn if our local audience likes the film," said Rashid Polash.

"I wanted to tell the story of the people around the Padma River bank through the various characters in this film – they are the people of our soil," he added.

The cast of "Poddapuran" includes Sadia Afreen Mahi, Prosun Azad, Shampa Reza, Joy Raj and Sumit Sengupta, among others.
