'Rickshaw Girl' selected for Mill Valley Film Festival

Director Amitabh Reza's 'Rickshaw Girl,' based on Mitali Perkins' book of the same name, has been selected at the North America's prestigious Mill Valley Film Festival. The director shared the news on his Facebook account.

Produced by Eric J Adams, the film features Novera Rahman as the protagonist.

The director also wrote that it is their second international journey. Mill Valley is a boutique film festival based in the Coastal region of North America.

According to the post, Eric J Adams had especially kept the viewers of North America in mind, MItali Perkins is extremely popular there. Hence, the film also contains English dialogues, keeping the interest of the people in that region. As a result, the festival is crucial for the team of the film.

The film had already made its rounds in South Africa for the Oscar qualifying festival and Durban Int'l Film Festival, earlier this year.
