Vistula 1st Polish Film-Festival Bangladesh begins virtually today
A five-day film festival titled 'Vistula 1st Polish Film Festival' will be held for the first time in Bangladesh. The festival will be organized by WSPIERAM Foundation in association with the International Academy of Film and Media (IAFM).
Movie lovers can enjoy the online screening of the Polish movies for free at Mojeekino (https://mojeekino.pl/en/) from 22-26 September, reads a press release.
The festival will showcase 10 contemporary Polish films including features, shorts, and documentaries by noted filmmakers.
The festival will feature various masterclasses, lecture sessions and cine-talks on/about Polish cinemas by internationally acclaimed film intellectuals. Audiences can take part in the lecture for free and experience the beautiful story of the enigmatic history of Polish cinemas and the aesthetics implemented throughout the films.
An academic session titled "Cinematography: Women Behind the Camera" by Polish female cinematographer Weronika Bilska along with another lecture titled Introduction of Polish Cinema by Prof. Sanjay Mukhopadhyay, writer, teacher, critic and theorists of India will give an in-depth knowledge about movie-making to the audiences.
