UN Women Bangladesh today (November 9, 2022) launched a storybook titled “From Where I Stand”, paying tribute to the exemplary efforts and leadership of women in tackling climate change-induced disasters from the ground.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 struck Nepal early Wednesday, killing at least six people and destroying multiple houses in the western district of Doti, close to populous towns, officials said.

Transport movement on Dhaka-Khulna and Dhaka-Barishal highways resumed this morning (October 25, 2022), nearly 10 hours of suspension as uprooted trees blocked several stretches during Cyclone Sitrang.
