Road Crash: Constable dies, SP injured

A constable was killed and three others, including the superintendent of police in Feni, were injured when their SUV rammed into a tree by the Dhaka-Chattogram highway yesterday night. 

The constable’s name could not be known last night.

SP Khandokar Nurunnabi, Additional SP Moniruzzaman and the policeman driving the vehicle were admitted to a hospital.

“The accident took place around 8:30pm in Lemua area,” said Nazrul Islam, SP of Cumilla Highway Police.

“The vehicle hit a tree and fell into a ditch,” he added.

They were rushed to a hospital where the constable died.
