Smuggled imitation ornaments seized

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge quantity of Indian smuggled imitation ornaments from Sadipur border area under Benapole Police Station early Sunday.

Tipped-off, the border guards raided the area and seized the ornaments worth Tk 8.45 lakh, said Major Nazrul Islam, commanding officer of BGB-49 Battalion.

The smugglers managed to flee, he said, adding that a case was filed.
