65,000 rotten eggs seized

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members seized 65,000 pieces of rotten eggs from a covered van at Pahartali Sagorika Road under Pahartali Police Station in the port city of Chittagong yesterday. The rotten eggs were reportedly brought from Gazipur for supply to different bakeries here. Three dishonest traders identified as Md Rafiq, 48, of Dattapara in Laxmipur, Niamat Ullah, 30, of Manohorganj in Comilla and Md Ayub Ali, 50, of Sandwip in Chittagong were also held and the covered van was seized, said a Rab press release.
