Help save lives of Nasima, Zubair

Housewife Nasima, 39, of Pachra-para village under Shonaimuri upazila in Noakhali, has been suffering from renal failure for long. She needs to transplant both of her kidneys. But her family is unable to manage the cost of this expensive treatment. Nasima has now been receiving treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University under the supervision of Prof Shahidul Islam Selim. She has sought financial assistance from the well-off section of the society for speedy recovery from her health disorder. The family of one-year-and-nine-month-old boy Zubair, who has been suffering from thalassaemia, has appealed to affluent people for generous help to save the child. Zubair has now been receiving treatment at Thalassaemia Centre at Shishu Hospital under the supervision of Prof Wakar Ahmed. He needs to undergo bone-marrow transplantation, which is not possible in the country. The costly treatment is available in India, says a press release. The child's father is unable to bear the treatment cost. So, he has sought cooperation from all to continue the treatment.
