Road crashes kill 3

Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Faridpur and Kishoreganj yesterday. Our correspondent in Faridpur reports: Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Majkandi under Modhukhali upazila early yesterday. The dead were identified as Mizanur Rahman, 25, and Taposh Mondol, 55. The accident took place when a Dhaka-bound pickup van and a truck collided head-on, leaving the two dead on the spot. A correspondent in Kishoreganj adds: A man was killed in a road accident at Humayunpur under Bazitpur upazila yesterday noon. The victim was identified as Suman, 20. The accident took place at about 1:30pm when a speeding tractor knocked the bicycle Suman was riding on, killing him on the spot.
