Mobile sculpture project in Sept
With an aim to create a link between art and multicultural cooperation, an artist of Germany is going to launch a 'Mobile Sculpture Project' in the capital in September.
Artist Silke Riechert, who most of the time works outside galleries and likes to create and place her sculptures in public places and in the middle of everything, will start the project in collaboration with Britto Art Trust in old part of the city.
Speaking at a meet the artist programme in the city, Riechert said that under the project, they will design some commonly used vehicles, including rickshaw and boats, with artworks which will carry social messages.
Local artists, inhabitants and dwellers of the project area will be involved in the project, she added.
Riechert said they will hold a number of workshops to generate ideas and find out ways make the project a success.
The artist also made a presentation of her community art projects in Berlin and Dhaka.
