Road crashes kill 2
Two school students were killed in separate road accidents in Gaibandha and Kishoreganj yesterday.
Our correspondent in Gaibandha reports: A seven-year-old girl was killed in a road accident on Mahimaganj-Fasitola road at Fasitola yesterday.
The victim was identified as Rithu Adhikeri, a student of Fasitola KG School.
The accident took place when a tractor trolley crushed her under its wheels after she had fallen down from a rickshaw van on her way home.
A correspondent in Kishoreganj adds: A schoolboy was killed on Kishoreganj-Marichkhali road at Joika in the district yesterday.
The victim was identified as Akram Hossain, 14, son of Abdur Rahman of Parakul village under Karimganj upazila and a student of class seven in Gondhor High School.
The accident took place in front of Brac office at about 12:00noon when a Marichkhali-bound human hauler hit Akram while he was crossing the road, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, locals rushed him to Kishoreganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:00pm.
