Sayeed Eskandar gets bail

The High Court (HC) yesterday granted six months' anticipatory bail to Major (Retd) Sayeed Eskandar, brother of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, in a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). An HC bench of Justice MA Wahhab Miah and Justice JBM Hasan also issued a rule upon the government to explain why Sayeed Eskandar should not be granted permanent bail in this case. Eskandar yesterday appeared before the HC bench for bail.
