4-lane Dhaka-Ctg road by 2013

The upgrading of Dhaka-Chittagong Highway (Daudkandi-Chittagong Section) from two to four lanes is expected to be completed within three years. The construction work for upgrading the highway began in January. Additional Chief Engineer of Department of Roads and Highways Mofizul Islam said construction of 192km road from Daudkandi to Chittagong would be completed by December 2013.
