Man robbed of Tk 2 lakh

Snatchers took away Tk 2 lakh from a stock market investor at Mirpur in the city yesterday. Six armed criminals on two motorbikes intercepted Mohammad Sadikur Rahman, a resident of Arambagh in Mirpur-7 section, while he was returning home in a rickshaw after withdrawing about Tk 2 lakh from the Mirpur-10 intersection branch of Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. Holding him at gunpoint, they made away with the money, Sadikur told The Daily Star.
