Water transport strike from midnight today

Bangladesh Noujan Sramik Federation is going to start water transport strike from midnight today to press home their 22-point demands, including formation of new pay scale. The announcement of strike came after a tripartite meeting between the water vessel owners, workers and the government representatives failed to resolve the issue. Labour secretary chaired the meeting held at the Shrama Bhaban.
