Lightning kills 2 in Rajshahi

Two people, including a housewife, were killed and another was injured when they were struck by lightning at Sonadanga village under Bagmara upazila of the district yesterday afternoon. The dead were identified as Akter Hossain, 28, and Rashida Begum, 25, while the injured is Rasheda Begum, 28. They fell pray to the hit by the thunderbolt when they went to a nearby field to bring back cattle heads during the storm coupled with rainfall that swept over the district at around 5.30pm. The injured was rushed to the nearby health complex.
