Four BCL men expelled in Patuakhali
Four Chatra League (BCL) leaders of Dumki upazila unit were expelled yesterday on charge of anti-party activities.
Jasim Uddin Badal, president of the upazila unit and Sirajul Islam, secretary jointly signed the expulsion letters.
The expelled leaders are Ashikur Rahman Miku, Rubel Bayatee, Saddam Hossain and Shamim Khan.
Party sources said, a group of BCL men led by Ashikur Rahman Miku entered a class room of Janata College in the upazila town at noon on Saturday and beat up some students of the 2nd year intermediate class for 'unknown reasons'.
Majeda Begum, principal of the college verbally complained to the president and secretary of the upazila unit BCL.
Later the president and secretary of the unit decided to expel them.
Jasim Uddin Badal, president of the upazila unit said, "we expelled them as we found them guilty."
Shamim Khan, an expelled leader said they submitted a letter to the president and secretary begging pardon.
"But they did not consider our prayer and expelled us," he said.
