BDR Mutiny Case
Public prosecutor receives death threat
Mosharraf Hossain Kajol, a public prosecutor dealing with Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) mutiny cases across the country, received a death threat through short message service (SMS) on his mobile phone yesterday.
Kajol told The Daily Star that he received two SMSs from a mobile phone -- the first one at 2:19am while the second one at 11:44am -- threatening to kill him and his family members.
“You are trying innocent BDR members,” Kajol quoted a portion of the message as saying.
The SMSs also threatened to kill the BDR Director General Maj Gen Md Rafiqul Islam and BDR mutiny's investigation officer Major Zahid, he said.
He filed a general diary with Hazaribagh Police Station in this connection seeking security for himself and his family members.
