One killed, two injured in road accident
One woman was killed and two other were injured as a truck lost control at Moddhopara area under Katiadi upazila in the district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Rina Akter,40, wife of Gias Uddin of Moddhopara village in Katiadi. One of the two injured is Sumon. The other injured could not be identified. The injured were sent to Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital.
Police said the accident took place when a truck lost its control and rammed a shop beside the road around 11:00am. Rina and other two sat in the shop.
Police recovered Rina's body and sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police seized the truck but its driver fled after the accident immediately.
