A man was killed by a truck on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at the Dulalmundia Bazar in Kaliganj upazila of the district early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Shaheen, 33, son of Abdur Razzak of Khamarmundia village of the same upazila. Shaheen was waiting in front of a tree at Dulalmundia Bus stand when a speeding truck lost control and rammed into the tree killing him on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
