Police arrested 2,144 people on various charges in separate drives across the country in 12 hours as of 6:00am yesterday. Eight firearms and 21 bullets were also recovered during the countrywide drive, said a release of police headquarters. Besides, 36 motorcycles were seized for not having valid documents during the drives and 331 cases filed in this connection.
