Pay RMG workers' dues before Eid

Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (Skop) yesterday demanded that workers of ready-made garments and other industries be paid all their dues and overtime bills before the Eid-ul-Fitr, said a press release.
In a statement, the parishad leaders said many factories are not paying salary arrears, wages, and overtime bills to their workers properly.
They said many workers are also being sacked without any cause while many others are being harassed through baseless complaints and police cases. Signatories to the statement were parishad leaders Abul Bashar, Abdul Matin Master, and Jafrul Hasan.
The parishad warned that the owners would be held responsible if any untoward incident takes place, the press release added.
