Madrasa girl violated by teacher
A madrasa girl was violated allegedly by her teacher at Hogolpatia Hafijia Madrsah in Sadar upazila on Thursday noon.
The teacher was identified as Hafej Abbas Ali, 35 hailed from Hijla upazila in Barisal.
Hospital and family sources said Abbas Ali let the students go but asked the girl, 11, to wait after the class at noon.
Later, he tied her mouth with cloth and showed weapon in a room of the madrasah before violating her. He also forced her to take oath touching holy Quran not to disclose the incident to her family.
She was rushed to a private clinic in the evening and then shifted to Madaripur General Hospital as her condition was deteriorated at about 10am Friday.
Abbas Ali was absconding. A case was filed in this connection.
