Khondker Ibrahim gets Ahsanullah Award

Khondker Ibrahim Khaled, noted banker, economist and chairman of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, has been selected for the prestigious Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal Award-2009 in recognition of his contribution to the country's socio-economic development. He will be awarded with the medal very soon, says a press release. Dhaka Ahsania Mission introduced the award in 1986 in memory of its founder Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, a renowned educationist, social reformer, Sufi thinker and assistant director of the then Department of Education. A total of 17 distinguished personalities of the country received the gold medal in the past. Khondker Ibrahim Khaled was born on July 4, 1941. He did his Masters in Science (MSc) from Dhaka University and later did his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Institute of Business Administration of the same university. He was the first faculty member of Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management and first general manager (GM) Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation. Khondker Ibrahim Khaled immensely contributed in the economic and social development of the country.
