Ensure justice to litigants
CJ urges judges
Chief Justice Mohammad Fazlul Karim yesterday urged the judges to ensure that the litigants are not deprived of justice.
He also requested the judges and the lawyers to complete the trial quickly.
“It would not be difficult to transform into reality the dream of making the country a 'Sonar Bangla' if we can reach the goal of establishing independence of judiciary,” he said while addressing a reception in the district bar association auditorium here.
With president of the bar association ABM Zakaria in the chair, the function was addressed by district and sessions judge SKM Anisur Rahman, former presidents of the bar Joynul Abedin, Nazmul Haque and former lawmaker advocate Salauddin Kamran.
Earlier, he inaugurated the advocate Ahmedullah memorial trust and free-Friday clinic in Singbaura village under Chatkhil upazila of the district.
He also joined a reception for the meritorious students and stipend awarding ceremony at Singbaura High School.
